I would love to hear what Tina thinks. Forgive me for thinking the dearth of women’s points of view creates a skewed version of what may or may not happen. If you think we aren’t engaged, guess again.

Tina is right there in the conversation. Why do you think I think you’re not engaged? I’m concerned with the impact on the election given media’s business model.

I confess that I read the transcript because I didn't have time to watch/listen to all of it, but your email intrigued me. I'll go back and watch when I have a minute. Reading the transcript was an exercise in frustration, where far too much weight is given to Trump, which is one of the real problems we have with media right now.

Guys if you lived in Arizona and online, as I do, you would see how many people are outraged by the southern border, the national debt, homelessness, housing costs, rents and debt. Younger people are getting news from TikTok and podcasts. They care about climate. I don't hear strong enough messaging from Biden for younger voters. And there are many who have gone to "a pox on both their houses." The "media" doesn't count in this election.

Here’s a big piece of the plan for reaching young voters.

Ads directed to young voters placed on social media. They’ve recruited young, hip writers grom movies and TV. “We’re taking the best young writers and directors, who are the age and demographics of the people we’re targeting, using poll-tested messaging, and shaping it in a way that will resonate with young people and get them excited.”

Expect ads to drop next month

I agree that this election people will own their vote. I don’t agree that we don’t see the issues or that younger people are not served by the media. We’ll see what happens as the nation gets down to the choice. What we all do to make a difference is what really counts. I bet on the jury of our peers.

There’s plenty of data supporting the conclusion democracy is a salient issue for voters.
